 On August 29, 1730, Anna Maria Heim Hess (about 45 at the time)and her husband, Jeremias Hess arrived in Philadelphia aboard the “Thistle of Glasgow”, which had sailed from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with her husband, Jeremias Hess and their 4 surviving children: Peter (about 27), Eva (about 20), Johann Conrad (about 16), and Balthasar (about 13). Later that year, Jeremias Hess appeared as the baptismal sponsor of a child of Johan Georg Schweinhart at Falckner Swamp in what is now Montgomery County, outside of Philadelphia.Family links: Spouse: Jeremias Hess (1675 – 1739) Children: |
